Description: An I&E Technician job is available with a manufacturing client in Wever, Iowa. The I&E technician will evaluate, analyze, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, instruments and computerized process control systems. She/he will also assist engineers in research, troubleshooting, installation and implementation of sophisticated control apparatus while working with minimum supervision.
Testing, calibration and preventive maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment;
Maintenance of test, calibration and Preventative Maintenance (PM) records;
Installing, improving or modifying Instrumentation and Electrical equipment;
Troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing Instrumentation and Electrical Control systems and all related electrical equipment in areas of responsibility;
Recommending equipment spare parts;
Maintaining accurate records of instrumentation and electrical systems;
Interfacing with engineering, construction and plant personnel;
Monitoring contract personnel on an as-needed basis;
Maintaining strong safety awareness and knowledge of plant, process control technology and safety procedures;
Evaluating recurring maintenance problems to determine root cause and then formulates a corrective action plan to be implemented;
Providing Instrument and electrical project support;
Interpreting information from various test equipment, documentation and verbal information from operations with respect to a given problem to expedite repair of equipment;
This is a 60 Day contract
