We have an opening in the Information Technology Department for a Supply Chain Systems Analyst to be based out of the Technology & Innovation Center in Grimes, IA. The supply chain team is responsible for technology in Hy-Vee’s distribution and manufacturing facilities including: Chariton DC, Cherokee DC, Perishable Distributors of Iowa, D&D Foods, Lomar Distributing, Florist Distributing, and Bakery Manufacturing. Some of the major solutions include: warehouse management systems, inbound and outbound load planning, dispatch, ERP systems, manufacturing, and mobility solutions.
A Supply Chain Systems Analyst works with operational and technical stakeholders to leverage third-party applications and platforms to design, create, test, implement and support technical solutions that help Hy-Vee achieve long-term business initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel at obtaining results in a fast paced environment, have excellent problem solving skills, and can connect technology to real-world business challenges.
Designs, creates, modifies and tests solutions to enable optimal operation of new and existing supply chain applications. Applications include but are not limited to warehouse management systems, warehouse automation systems, transportation management systems and SQL based analytics/reporting platforms.
Performs cost-benefit analysis to evaluate new technologies and works with necessary stakeholders to define implementation plan including integration into existing supply chain systems.
Organizes, documents and creates technical design specifications for changes to internal and external applications.
Collaborates with operational teams to evaluate opportunities for process changes and uses existing data sources to clearly define expected benefits.
Designs, implements and tests disaster recovery procedures for supply chain systems.
A degree in MIS, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or equivalent technical field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience is required.
