This team is the owner of all human capital products and employee data. You will act as a liaison between product teams and business units as we look to replace our homegrown system with a new HRIS solution and navigate difficult business process conversations.

You’re a leader. You will draw from your deep and broad technical and product management expertise to deliver results on a cross-functional program while maximizing ROI at every shippable turn. We expect engineers and management alike to take a high level of ownership for the product vision, technical architecture and project delivery. We need a leader who can cut through the noise, passionately simplify, deliver results, and leverage perspectives from a diverse team. You will be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic technical projects that support nearly 90,000 Hy-Vee employees.

You're an expert in discovery. Your work with stakeholders will not only build a foundation of trust and credibility, but provide clarity to difficult conversations around business processes, priority, and value to the organization. You’ll support related delivery teams in defining product requirements while enabling product owners to grow and deliver value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the product vision, roadmap and delivery for HRIS implementation team.

  • Manage HRIS implementation backlog and corresponding work efforts of the 1-2 product owners reporting to you.

  • Lead OKR and roadmap development strategy for the people resourcing and management product group.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (senior leadership, development, communications, finance, marketing, legal, etc.) to help teams develop go-to-market strategies and execute overall product vision for new products and enhancing existing products.

  • Prioritize efforts deemed critical across the entire organization by helping manage top priorities across teams competing for resources.

  • Work with your team and your product owners to establish key performance indicators that matter.

  • Identify internal opportunities and define product vision and strategy.

  • Employee development including ongoing coaching, mentoring and leading semi-annual performance reviews for your Product owner(s).

  • Responsible for maintaining product-related standards and coordinating activities with a designated program manager.

  • Attends and is prepared to participate in department, company and industry meetings.

  • Provides assistance to Support Service personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A background in HRIS or platforms with similar challenges strongly preferred.

  • Extensive experience in managing products through all phases of an agile product life cycle, including concept, definition, planning, development and implementation.

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, fast growth environment and can handle multiple projects and tasks on a daily basis.

  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized problem solver.

  • Clear and concise writing, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the Hy-Vee mission and willingness to promote the core values and fundamentals of the company.

  • Drives a positive culture of innovation and continuous learning.

  • Ability to work positively in a cross functional environment with a variety of stakeholders to achieve team objectives.

  • Minimum 5 years of similar or related work experience.
