GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The ideal candidate for the Performance Engineer position will have strong experience and ability in collaborating with department leaders to assess necessary needs and understanding of networking, network performance and API testing methodologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, ports and associated protocols.
Ability to operate and interpret the data from packet analyzers
Strong understanding of networking to include servers, routers, switches, LAN’s, WAN’s and security best practices.
Ability to collaborate with department leaders to assess network capacity needs.
Experience with monitoring and testing network performance, providing network performance statistics/reports.
Ability to troubleshoot problem areas as needed as related to application and network performance.
API Functional, Regression, Performance (REST & SOAP)
API Endpoint Mocking
Integrating Test into CI/CD Pipelines
Experience with API testing tools: Karate, Gatling, Prism, ReadyAPI, Postman
Experience with cloud technology stack: Kubernetes, Azure, AWS. Docker

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school preferred; or at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS:
- None required; Education and experience are the primary considerations.
