Purpose:

The Employee Insights Analyst role at Athene is critical to the success of our Human Resources team. In this role, you will have ownership of building out our People Analytics capabilities through leveraging data and analytics to provide insights and support strategic decision-making related to workforce management. This role requires a strong background in Human Resources, data analysis, and stakeholder management with a focus on using data-driven approaches to improve employee engagement, retention, performance, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Identify, collect, and analyze relevant HR data from various sources, including HR systems (Workday), employee surveys, performance evaluations, and external benchmarks.

  • Develop and maintain databases and dashboards for tracking key HR metrics and trends.

  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze data, identify patterns, correlations and trends, and draw meaningful insights.

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Prepare and present regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to HR leadership and other stakeholders using platforms such as Tableau and Workday Discovery Boards.

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for HR programs, policies, and initiatives.

  • Design and develop user-friendly HR analytics tools and self-service platforms for HR teams and managers.

Workforce Planning and Talent Management:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze and forecast workforce needs and develop effective strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.

  • Conduct analyses to identify skill gaps, talent pipelines, and workforce trends, and provide recommendations to optimize workforce planning processes.

  • Support the design and implementation of performance management and talent development programs based on data insights.

Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Utilize data to measure and assess employee engagement and satisfaction levels.

  • Conduct retention analysis to identify factors influencing employee turnover and develop strategies to enhance retention.

  • Collaborate with HR partners to design and implement employee engagement surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.

HR Metrics and Benchmarking:

  • Define and establish HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

  • Conduct benchmarking and industry research to compare HR practices, policies, and metrics with external best practices.

  • Monitor and report on HR analytics trends, emerging technologies, and innovative practices to enhance HR data capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience with data analytics, with a strong preference for experience with HR data.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, concepts, and best practices preferred.

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling.

  • Experience working with HR systems and data analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Workday, Tableau, Power BI, survey tools).

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Excel, R, Python, or other statistical software.

  • Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data into succinct insights.

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
