Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII) is a member of WIM and a registered investment adviser and wholly-owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Company, providing investment research guidance, strategy, manager research, portfolio solutions and thought leadership within the Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) division, with the goal of supplying world class advice to the company’s financial and wealth advisers. WFII provides investment advice to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Wells Fargo Advisors and other Wells Fargo affiliates.

The Analytic Consultant will be a member of the Business Intelligence team in WIM Analytics Shared Services. The team member in this position is intended to possess superior Business Intelligence development skills and experience, specifically in Tableau. This position will combine technical and data skills and experience to serve as a subject matter expert in Tableau, data sourcing, aggregation and modeling for the team. Primary responsibility is the design, creation and maintenance of Tableau dashboards for the Business Intelligence team in support of WIM and WIM Analytics & Insights (A&I) initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, implement and maintain dynamic data visualizations using Tableau

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the BI team; creating and sharing best practices for development, testing, performance monitoring

  • Work in close partnership with WIM Analytics A&I teams to understand data-driven needs and objectives that lead to efficient and effective data sourcing and modeling

  • Partner with WIM Analytics A&I, Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) and Data Management and Insights (DMI) to source new data and ensure adherence to Wells Fargo data management principles and data security

  • Collaborate with business partners to assist in defining business requirements, consult on potential solutions and support reporting/data needs

  • Provide production support, ongoing maintenance and enhancements to existing portfolio of BI dashboards and solutions

The preferred locations for this role are Des Moines, IA and St. Louis, MO. Other locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
