The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Enterprise External Reporting team within the Complaints Data Analytics & Reporting (CDAR) team is responsible for managing all requests for customer complaints data that have the potential to be distributed outside of Wells Fargo or are high risk in nature. These requests are highly ad-hoc, with requirements that often need to be defined through collaboration. The analytic consultant in this role will be focused on providing accurate, timely, and actionable customer complaint reporting to high-risk parties (legal, regulators, investors, rating agencies, executives). Specifically, this analyst will be focused on the interpretation, development, and validation of these complaint data requests in addition to development of key trends, themes and identification of insights. This role will require a high degree of partnership with business partners, and interaction with senior leadership for approval of high-risk external reporting requests.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Helping to facilitate regular meetings with business partners (often senior level) to define, clarify, and capture project requirements within specific process guidelines

  • Compile/mine data from multiple sources to solve primarily ad hoc, complex operational and/or strategic business problems, making the appropriate recommendations to maximize operational efficiency, quality and compliance

  • Demonstrating end-to-end process ownership and providing comprehensive project data and analytics reporting while ensuring adherence to data management regulations and policies

  • Having superior technical skills with technologies like SAS, SQL and a detailed understanding of loading large data sets into SAS and SQL server environments

  • Building strong partnerships and collaborating effectively with partners to include presenting, explaining, and justifying complex data output in a manner appropriate to the audience, and where necessary adjusting approach

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Requisite modern and high-level technical skills to query and analyze customer complaint data

  • Strong analytic skill-set far beyond ETL, including attention to detail, ability to think and test ideas independently, and ability to identify and summarize insights

  • Strong communication and consultative skills, ability to answer questions and present to leadership, including PowerPoint development and delivery in a polished, professional manner

  • Experience creating analytical documentation that is both easy to follow and meets compliance and audit requirements

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900

TX-Irving: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900
