Title: Part-Time Student-Product Engineering-Waterloo IA - 69775
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Investigate failed engine harnesses, determine root cause, and document findings
Assist or lead efforts to request failed harnesses to be returned based on warranty claim trends
Lead efforts to code warranty claims according to failure mode and responsibility
Assist or lead efforts to identify warranty trends and request CAR's to address root cause accordingly
What It Takes
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn new computer systems
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to interpret data and self-direct accordingly
Must be a full-time student at a university or college local to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area
If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree
Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A Strong Candidate Will Also Have
An interest in working with engine assemblies/components, specifically harnesses and electrical components
Majoring in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Electrical or mechanical systems knowledge
VBA macro programming in Excel
Working knowledge of ProE/Creo or other solid modeling programs
Working knowledge of databases
