Class A CDL Bulk Driver (Overnight)

Adecco Search is seeking qualified Class A CDL Bulk Drivers for a client of ours in Waterloo, IA. Qualified candidates will possess a clean, Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (no exceptions).

OPPORTUNITY

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver bulk and/or packaged products to customers. This position will uphold the company's "Standards of Excellence" through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.

As CDL Truck Driver, primary responsibilities may include:

• Inspect unit daily and report any needed repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.

• Make assigned bulk or van deliveries adhering to the appropriate SOP's.

• Keep entire unit clean and in good working order, including the trailers.

• Deliver and pick up products and containers as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator.

• Review all shipping papers and verify that the load is correct exactly as stated, including the container labels. This includes proper use of BOL's and Certificates of Analyses.

• Follow assigned delivery sequence. Report any deviation immediately. Contact the Logistics Coordinator if you are delayed when making deliveries.

• Follow all special instructions on bill of lading, or as indicated by the Logistics Coordinator.

• Be knowledgeable in and comply with all company work and safety rules, motor carrier safety regulations, state weight laws, and environmental regulations.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA

• Must possess a valid CDL and current DOT physical certification with ABCD/NH and TANKER endorsements.

• Must have an acceptable driving record.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

• Mandatory drug screening is part of the pre-employment process.

SNAPSHOT

• $3,000 sign-on bonus

• Class A CDL and tanker endorsement required, along with at least 3 years of bulk driving experience

• Hazmat endorsement and experience preferred but not required

• Paid by the hour with guaranteed weekly OT (50-60-hour work weeks expected, Hydrite caps hours at 60)

• $26-29/hour depending on experience

• 120 hours of PTO per year versus the normal 80

• M-F schedule with very occasional weeks starting on Sunday

• In and out facing cameras in all trucks

• No slip seat, own cabs with personal PPE

• Need to be clean shaven from the lip line down similar to operators, same PPE requirements
