The Role

The Director of Investment Services is responsible for supporting investment and business development activities within the company; primarily focusing on the Registered Investment Advisor platform offerings. This role assists with administering, developing, and managing Brokers Financial internal and sub-advised investment portfolio offerings. The Director of Investment Services will work closely with Brokers Financial advisors to grow their individual practices and how to effectively position investment offerings in their client portfolios.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of Brokers Financial’s Retirement Ally Program. As a Co-Portfolio manager the Director of Investment Services will be responsible for implementing program changes to the platform and for creation and distribution of all advisor used marketing material and sales pieces.

  • Maintain and develop new and existing relationships to Brokers Financial’s RIA by participating in joint calls, presentations, and helping advisors develop solutions.

  • Maintain the current RIA platform and assist the CIO in platform enhancements to help grow and evolve Brokers Financial RIA offering to its advisors. This role will be responsible for competitive intelligence of other RIA platforms, ideas on how to improve the current offering, what tools and resources should be included and how to implement those changes. Also, will provide solutions and ideas on what new product solutions need to be implemented to gain market share.

  • Complete daily/weekly proactive calls to drive more AUM to Brokers Financials RIA platform. This position will also be responsible for creating and presenting solutions and market commentary with advisors and clients either through phone calls or in person presentations on value add, product solutions, or market commentary.

  • Maintain and update all social media and websites with value add or product information to help drive clients to Brokers Financial advisors.

  • Assist in growing the Brokers Financial Retirement Ally program by working with advisors to provide daily investment proposals and illustrations and by building relationships with new advisors to the firm and current advisors utilizing other products to increase market share and application count.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of multiple clearing firm platforms (TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Pershing).

  • In depth knowledge of RIA platforms and Solutions.

  • Ability to work with new and existing advisors to increase their AUM in the RIA and Retirement Ally.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Experience and Education

  • Prior Securities industry experience required.

  • A Minimum of 6-8 years working directly with a broker-dealer, RIA or insurance.

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University; six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of related education and experience and/or training.

  • Series 7, 24 and 65/66.
