APC isa three shift 24x5 facility 7A-3P, 3P-11P & 11P-7A and a two shift 24x7facility 7A-7P & 7P-7A depending on department. The HP press hours may vary depending onutilization and job specific requirements.LOCATION: Story City, IAESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Participatein training, embrace concepts of and actively practice the STOP Safety Programfundamentals to aid American Packaging Corporation's efforts to achieve azero-accident rate.Retrieveall necessary set up information/specifications/guidelines. Complete all machine changeover/set-upprocesses minimizing machine downtime and meeting or exceeding set-up standardrequirements. Develop set up proceduredocumentation as required.Safely,efficiently and effectively operate assigned production machinery equipmentmonitoring quality, production and waste adhering to all customerspecifications.Completelevel 1 and 2 HP training or equivalent training and experienceObserveand adhere to all safety guidelinesEnsureinks have sufficient bondMonitorink cartridge levels as requiredMakemechanical machinery adjustments as requiredCompleteroll changes as neededSuccessfullycorrect web breaksCompletenecessary sheets for Quality checksCompleteshingle board and proper sampling proceduresMonitorall quality requirements as outlined by company procedure and specification.Effectivelyobserve and judge color.Ensureproduct produced meets the quality requirements as defined by QualityAssurance.Maintaincolor accuracy and consistency to customer specification utilizing spectro''swith secondary visual observations, (Print by the Numbers)Ensureall required on-line quality data is properly documented.Secondarysupport for identified prepress dutiesPlateordersPlateTrimsStickyBack applicationSupportin mountingOtherduties in prepress as assignedEnsureall start-up material meet specification requirements.Pre-plannext job before completion of current job.Workwith and direct activities of assigned Press Helper.Troubleshootand solve printing problems.Ensureinks run at proper viscosities.Correctlycomplete daily production sheets, process condition sheets, waste logs and qualityinspection logs. Ensure job orderinformation (size, construction, print position, packing instructions, adhesivestructures, and proper substrates being used) corresponds with the productbeing manufactured.Distinguishdeviance between established manufacturing packing specifications reportingdeviations to appropriate personnel.Deliveraccurate and concise information to adjacent shifts and Shift Supervisors in atimely fashion.Properlyflag & document defects in master rolls accurately for next operator.Ensureimmediate work area and work areas for which Machine Operator hasresponsibility are free of clutter and debris. Perform all cleaning/sanitation responsibilities, safely using allrequired cleaning solutions and protective equipment.Ableto work all scheduled and required overtime hours.Ableto work all scheduled shifts.Attendand participate in all scheduled meetings (Continuous Quality Improvement,safety, special projects, departmental, etc.).Strictlyadhere to all company uniform guidelines.Businesstravel required.Anyoth
