Avera Marshall RN-B / COMMUNITY HEALTH - PRN in Spirit Lake, Iowa
Provide comprehensive public health nursing services in a variety of settings: homes, clinics, telephone consultation and schools. Promotes and maintains the health of individuals, families and the community through the coordination and provision of various public health programs. The Public Health Nurse will be able to do assessment, teaching, counseling and prevention services to individuals, families and groups to promote health and wellness to clients in the county. This could include assisting with immunization clinics, Health Maintenance clients, Maternal Child Health clients, school audits, Epi investigations or other public health nursing functions as assigned.
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited licensed school of nursing, BSN preferred. One year of Public Health or Homecare nursing experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
Current Iowa RN license. BLS and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting certification or completion according to hospital Education Policy. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance coverage.
