Avera Marshall NUTRITION & FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR - FT in Spirit Lake, Iowa

SUMMARY:

The Nutrition Services Supervisor will serve as an active member of the hospital’s leadership staff and will supervise the day to day flow of the Nutrition Services Department to ensure a quality and creative working environment in providing dietary services to patients, guests and staff. Performs a variety of leadership duties to improve customer service, meet patient and customer expectations, and improve food quality and variety based on consumer and industry trends using sanitary and safe food preparation techniques. Functions to also include production schedules, employee scheduling, inventory and budget management.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree preferred. High school graduate or equivalent required. Additional courses in food preparation, sanitation and therapeutic diets desired but not required. Certified Dietary Management experience preferred, and required within one year after hire.

One year of supervisory and/or managerial experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
