Aventure Staffing Brake Press Operator in Spencer, Iowa
Brake Press Operator| $18/hour DOE
1st shift Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm
A local Metal Manufacturing facility is seeking Brake Press Operators to work on 1st shift, 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, no weekends! Must have experience running a brake press.
Responsibilities:
Preparing the machine: Setting up, adjusting, and preparing the press brake as needed
Managing materials: Ensuring that there are enough raw materials available, and measuring and aligning materials
Bending and shaping metal: Bending and shaping metal plates and sheets according to blueprints and specifications
Inspecting products: Evaluating the finished pieces for quality and compliance with standards and specifications
Performing maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on the press brake
Maintaining work area: Keeping the work area clean and organized
Inspecting blueprints, Making adjustments as needed, Monitoring supply levels
Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Analytical skills
Experience running a Brake Press
Attention to detail
Good shop math
Ability to work with a team
Good work ethic
Pay & Benefits:
$18/hr. plus Depending on experience
Paid every Friday
