JOB RESPONSIBILITIESiActively support and further the Mission of The Arc of the Quad Cities Area. iReview processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.iDirect or coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of the organization. iMonitor production standards and materials costs and quality to ensure finished products are of prescribe quality and within establish costs. iInitiate inventory cost control program to minimize waste and maximize profitability.i iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Manage production, setup and operate machinery, perform production activities as needed and provide training on processes and machinery as need to complete orders efficiently, meeting or exceeding production deadlines.iPerform preventative and ongoing maintenance on machines and equipment and maintaining an inventory system to ensure efficiency and security at Arc Industries.iComplete job method sheets to include safety, job layout, quality control, and process steps.iTrain, supervise, evaluate and discipline all designated staff in accordance with policies and procedures.iDevelop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational and program service reports to detect and implement resolution to production problems or barriers.iParticipate in staffing and other pertinent meetings regarding individual workers served, following through with all recommendations.iWork with Director of Arc Industries to schedule staff and client training and production activities.iCoordinate materials, equipment, and supplies by pricing and purchasing needed goods, iComplete time studies and bidding, monitoring each job to ensure costs and margins are covered.iEnsure customer satisfaction by maintaining positive communications, working closely with new customers, and ensuring quality work completed on time. iEnsure complete record keeping of production for client workers and customers, completing regular reports and maintaining date for payroll, job costing, and billing.iPromote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment and maintain safe work practices.iMonitor compliance of and use of necessary material handling equipment is being used properly to safely move and/or deliver materials for production purposes, including but not limited to fork trucks, hand trucks, vans, and delivery trucks.iAssist in shop production as time allows and perform all other duties as assigned.iQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bacheloris degree preferred.Successful passing of pre-employment drug test; successful passing of random drug tests.Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate total project efforts.Supervisory experience preferred.Production and computer experience preferred.Mechanical and mathematical aptitude required.Current and valid driveris license. Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 6 months of hire.Strength and flexibility to perform production work.
