Iowa Employer Agronomy Sales Associate (1613) in RAKE, Iowa

Landus Cooperative is currently seeking an individual learn the responsibilities involving territory planning, sales, customer service, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and learning how to make sound agronomic recommendations to our members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Learn how to manage, maintain, and prioritize a list of customers and prospects to identify the best opportunities for growth.* Learn to maintain and increase sales with existing customers and gain business from new customers. * Assist the Field Sales Agronomist in performing yield checks on test plots for customers to showcase varieties of corn and soybean hybrids, new herbicide options, tillage practices, etc. * Understand how to document and submit sales call information in Customer Interaction Tracker.* Observe and demonstrate how to provide a consistent communication channel between Landus Cooperative customers and location personnel in order to set proper service expectation levels, resolve problems and scheduling issues. * Work with a Field Sales Agronomist on advising customers on the proper use of products and equipment. * Participate in technical, sales, and other types of training.* Learn how to schedule timely soil samples, soil nitrate tests, plant tissue analysis, soybean cyst samples and yield checks for present and new customers.* Assist a Field Sales Agronomist make sales calls and recommendations for present and potential customers regarding fertilizer, chemicals, seed, tillage practices, crop consulting, etc.* Collaborate with other departments and/or locations to identify potential benefits to the customer from other company programs. * Responsible for being a champion of safety compliance throughout organization.* Assist in establishing and attaining sales goals that are compatible with Landus Cooperative Corporate Goals. * Work with customers, suppliers, and management to resolve product/service complaints fairly and equitably. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CCA certified or equivalent knowledge is preferred. Valid state motor vehicle operatoris license. CDL and other DOT qualifications for operation of a commercial motor vehicle or able to obtain.
