Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Digital Publishing System Operator is responsible to print miscellaneous forms for office and factory use including, but not limited to, pinpoint, warranty, Ag and Industrial Dealer Manual mailings. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and inventory support of publishing equipment for the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  2. Operate Xerox 6110 & 6115 Digital Publishing Machines.

  3. Prepare orders from the DigiPath/Scanner.

  4. Monitor inventory supplies for Xerox equipment and paper. Maintain paper levels and prepare for use for the Company.

  5. Cut and drill OM, MM and cabled manuals.

  6. Provide the following support: cut, fold, drill, perforate, laminate, bind and pad various items.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s Degree in digital printing or similar area with 1-2 years related job experience with document finishing and/or printing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge in the area(s) of Company product line, digital printing equipment, proper paper for printing various manuals and work orders.

  • Ability to use shear, paper drill, binder, laminator, padding frame, and folder/perforator.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.

  • Ability maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting the department.

  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.

  • Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources.

  • Ability to provide timely delivery of manuals.
