Dexter Axle Quality Engineer in Orange City, Iowa

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the position provides support and direction to all departments in the area of quality assurance.

  • Write and maintain work instructions and procedures

  • Perform internal audits (CTQ, dock/yard, corporate, process, ISO)

  • Perform receiving inspections

  • Perform PPAP’s

  • Maintain the calibration system

  • Perform gage R&R studies

  • Manage the training program

  • Develop and facilitate monthly PSQC meetings

  • Facilitate customer complaints

  • Manage corrective actions

  • Facilitate and analyze customer surveys

  • Process and analyze NCMR

  • Data analysis on various processes

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Engineering, Business or comparable discipline and at least 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates will have experience in ISO 9001:2015, proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with strong problem solving abilities, ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams, self-directed and motivated. Certified Quality Auditor or ISO Internal auditor certification a plus.
