JOB SUMMARYProvide employment preparedness services and trainings for program participants with the goal of attaining successful placements in the community. Work with service providers and employers in the community to expand the reach of services and resources offered at Goodwill. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDesign customized employment support for program participants by assessing individualis needs related to employment or supportive services.Present program services to Goodwill employees and manage requested supports.Determine job readiness level as well as a detailed needs, goals and abilities summary of participants.Assist participants in choosing realistic employment goals that prepare them for full time employment in a career path suitable for their abilities and interests.Ensure that participant records are maintained in an organized and legible manner in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures.Implement and conduct employment readiness workshops on an ongoing basis Conduct employment assessments with potential referral for a vocational readiness evaluation Refer participants for other supportive services in the community or Goodwill programs.Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.Other duties as assigned.INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT & INTERPERSONAL SKILLSPersonally participate in ongoing professional growth, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.Working relationship with supervisor, co-workers and community partners.Must be able to make sound decisions in dealing with the daily activities of participants.Must be a self-starter and work independentlyMust be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and locations. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBacheloris degree in human services or related field is preferred.Two (2) or more years case management experience in job search or job training-related programs required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSFirst Aid/CPR Certificate preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust be able to travel within the Goodwill service area using personal transportation Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings Must possess skills necessary to conduct effective workshops Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skillsMust be able to complete and analyze job readiness assessments
