Summary

As a Business Solution Specialist, you will provide technical and non-technical problem resolution to customers by performing question diagnosis and utilizing appropriate resources while embracing continuing learning and improvement opportunities. As a Business Solutions Specialist, you will perform a variety of customer service duties including answering questions regarding pricing, contracts, shipments, product specifications, etc., while proactively seeking creative solutions to customer questions to stay ahead of the competition and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize communication strategies to partner with customers and understand the root cause of issues and investigate options for resolution.

  • Develop strategies to organize and prioritize workload, track on-going customer requests and complete follow-up.

  • Build relationships with both internal and external customers helping to develop the customer support brand and advocate to resolve customer concerns.

  • Provide support to team members, brainstorm new ways to improve processes and provide resources for continued team development.

  • Evaluate, identify and implement ideas to improve Customer Support processes.

  • Enter essential data into business systems to complete necessary customer support functions such as: quality reports, part replacements, product orders, etc.

  • Utilize resources such as price lists, specification guides and electronic product resources (Synergy) to find information to answer product questions and develop tools to continue learning about new processes and products.

  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

Requirements

Experience/Education Required and/or Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • Two years customer support experience in a business environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required and/or Preferred

  • Microsoft Office or similar software package required.

  • Excellent communication skills required.

  • Excellent problem solving skills required.

  • Proven track record of thinking “outside the box” to implement creative solutions for customers required.
