Position Overview: As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance within our production setting. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement quality management systems, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Establish quality control procedures for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess product quality and identify areas for improvement.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and optimize processes.
Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees to ensure understanding of quality standards and procedures.
Participate in safety activities, including safety tours, training and accident / incident review for the department. Aids in developing Job Safety Aids for areas of responsibility.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality metrics and drive performance improvements.
Stay current on industry trends, developments, and best practices in quality management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality management roles within a production setting.
Rubber manufacturing background a plus.
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards).
Proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
