Position Purpose:

Responsible for quality control activities within Imaging at MercyOne North Iowa and MercyOne Family Clinics. Supports and works collaboratively with affiliated Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) to ensure the quality and continuity of care. Assists with regulatory compliance within Imaging and MercyOne clinics. Oversees daily operations and workflow for CT Lung Screening program. Helps coordinate projects and process improvements within Imaging.

What you will Do:

  • Provides support and education of all MercyOne Family Clinic (MFC) personnel who operate radiation –emitting equipment. Provides Radiology input for annual evaluations.

  • Maintains radiation safety program for MFC radiology which includes participating in the Radiation Safety committee and reporting data.

  • Ensures MFC Clinics department practices comply with Joint Commission standards.

  • Communicate any changes in policies and procedures that would impact CAHs and Clinics.

  • Performs competency assessments for the MFC radiographers.

  • Supports CAH Imaging departments to ensure technical quality.

Hours/Schedule:

40 Hours/Week; Day Shift

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Shall be credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree

  • Minimum of 3 years Radiology experience.

  • Must possess current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice in Radiography

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License

  • Personal Vehicle: If required to operate personal vehicle, will need to have proof of and maintain valid driver's license and adequate insurance coverage on file with Human Resources.
