DAYCARE ASSOCIATE(may include morning, evenings, and non-school day coverage)

Position Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the Daycare Director, to assist and support all students in the childcare program.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Assists in the supervision of students in the lunchroom and other areas of the school facility. This may include indoor, outdoor, or on school related activities or field trips during contracted hours, and emergency drills/situations.
• Works with individuals or a group of students in the daily routine. This may include assisting the Daycare Director with themanagement and/or implementation of behavioral management plan(s); assisting students with daily activities, and programs; assisting students with technology (audio-visual, computer, adaptive educational equipment); and maintaining records for individual students.
• Keeps supervisor informed of all relevant student-related matters.
• Maintains working knowledge and use of available technology.
• Attends scheduled training sessions.
• Duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor may vary from time to time.

Travel Requirements

• Travels to school district buildings and on field tripsas required.

Physical Requirements

Bending, carrying, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.

Working Conditions

Includes extremes of temperature and humidity. Hazards include stairs and communicable diseases.
