Summary
Under the direction of the Administrator / Maintenance Supervisor:
Responsible for the safety, security, and general maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds
Performs tasks / duties as assigned, including but not limited to installations, repairs, and routine maintenance involving: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), drywall, painting, landscaping, and snow removal
Ensures all OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards are followed at all times
Prioritizes tasks based on resident and employee safety & security, working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and outside contractors (as needed) to ensure timely and efficient job completion
Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Administrator / Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, along with maintenance experience / working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing systems
Must possess knowledge of building codes and safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to: fire safety, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, installation, maintenance, and operation, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in a long-term care (LTC) environment
Must be self-motivated, possessing organization and time-management skills in order to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Variable (PRN)
Shift: Day Shift (Part-Time/Variable), Flexible Scheduling; Full-Time hours available if willing to cross-train as a Transportation Assistant/Driver
Wage Range*: $17.00/hr-$18.50/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Base Wage: $17.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years
