Title: Software Engineer - 70386

As a Software Engineer at John Deere Financial in Johnston, IA, you will work with a team of engineers to design and build Master Data solutions for financial services applications. These systems will feed critical customer, dealer, and agreement data to operational business areas. In addition, you will;

• Develop, code, configure, test, and deploy programs and Master Data systems

• Create API's to serve up the Master Data System in AWS

• Maintain solutions to meet JDF's compliance needs and goals by partnering with appropriate resources across IT, Security, Governance and Compliance

• Maintain a strong and collaborative working relationship with front-end application delivery teams and other relevant stakeholders and team members

• Ensure reusability and efficiency in the design, build and support of Master Data processes

• Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of Master Data software applications

• Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

• Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions including API development

• Experience coding with Python or Node

• Experience working understanding of AWS environment including Lambda functions and API gateway

• Experience with TDD and software test automation

• Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

• Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment

• Proven experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

• Experience with GraphQL or REST API’s

• Experience with ETL tool – Informatica, NiFi, or Pentaho

• Ability to read or debug Java code

  Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

• Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

• Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

• Proven experience working in a team environment

Education (or equivalent work experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
