Security Analyst

job summary:

  1. Responsible for the monitoring, detecting, reporting, investigating, and resolution of security incidents; Conduct the initial analysis of various system alerts, log files and the monitoring of numerous security controls to identify and respond to potential security concerns.

  2. Support on-call rotation on a regular schedule. Physical presence when necessary within 60-90 minutes to resolve security issues.

  3. Participate in the fielding, implementation and optimization of the selected security solutions.

  4. Manage and update the security controls to include new or updated applications, including testing and verification of security controls effectiveness.

  5. Work with the business to ensure that security controls are integrated and delivered on time.

  6. Work closely with the infrastructure application delivery team to help deliver effective security controls throughout the environment.

  7. Test and apply patches to security controls software.

  8. Work with system owners to deploy security controls to additional platforms.

  9. Recommend and contribute to policy updates as requirements change.

  10. Monitor security control components for operational and security issues.

  11. Periodically perform testing to ensure that security controls are functioning properly.
