Corteva Agriscience Lead Developer in Johnston, Iowa


Role Summary

The Lead Developer is a hands-on technical lead role responsible for the design, development, maintenance, support and enhancement of one or more Corteva software products within a given product line and/or family. The Lead Developer will provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a hybrid team of software developers within an Agile Scrum-based team configuration.

Key Responsibilities& Accountabilities

  • Partnerwith architects, design and engineering Information Management teams

  • Design,develop, and deliver high-quality software

  • Leadtechnical design, development and code review for the work-product producedby self and assigned Scrum team

  • Provideoversight and mentor a team of assigned software developers

  • Mentorand monitor the work products of software developers while retaining overalltechnical responsibility for the development of the product throughout itslifecycle

  • Serveas an expert technical resource in areas of research, development, testing,and implementation process

  • Collaboratewith Technical Product Manager (TPM) and other software product leaders tocoordinate, develop and implement product releases and support mechanisms

  • Recommendimprovements to process, workflow, methodologies, and product features andfunctionality

  • Research,prototype, implement solutions in a CI/CD environment

  • Guide,build and deploy processes


Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Enterprise-level software development

  • Prior people and project leadership

  • Application architecture, OOD and Agile Methodology

  • Client-Side: HTML5, CSS3, Angular

  • Server-Side: C# (.NET Core or .NET Framework)

  • Data Storage: SQL Server/Azure SQL, Redis, NoSQL (Cosmos, MongoDB, etc.)

  • Unit/Integration testing

  • Building and maintaining public and internal API’s, including micro services

  • Exposure to messaging systems (Azure Service Bus, etc.)

  • Hands-on with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, etc.)

  • Git, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery mechanisms

  • Containers experience (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Information Systems, or equivalent experience

  • 5+years of software development experience
