Woodruff is looking to fill an immediate Warehouse Coordinator position in Tiffin, IA. This position will be responsible for organizing the warehouse and the receipt, coordination and safety of equipment coming through a warehouse and helps to ensure that orders arrive and are delivered on time to the right destinations and in the right quantities.

Asset Management

  • Utilize tool tracking system including filling tool requests, entering in new tools, transferring tools, and retiring old/broken tools.

  • Assist Warehouse Supervisor to continuously improve the tool tracking process

  • Manage the purchasing of new assets with outside vendors

  • Manage stock of consumable items by maintaining inventory levels, setting inventory levels (max, min, restock, etc.), and keeping inventory levels accurate in asset management system

  • Process tool requests in a timely manner

  • Communicate tool request issues with requesting Superintendents and Field Operations manager

  • Work well with project teams to provide requested equipment

  • Work well with Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate asset moves

  • Verify tools are not available in another region prior to purchasing of new tools

    Tool & Equipment Repair and Maintenance

  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe and working order

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance including required routine inspections.

  • Process work orders and service requests in a timely manner by working with Woodruff mechanic or outside service vendor

  • Perform inspections on all returned equipment to make sure items are in good working condition prior to putting back in storage location for use.

  • Input repair and maintenance invoices into service module of tool tracking system to help create a cost history of repairs by asset.

    Deliveries and Logistics

  • Coordinate and create delivery schedule to job sites.

  • Coordinate deliveries between regional warehouses and job sites

  • Perform efficient and effective deliveries to job sites (i.e. minimizes the number of trips to jobs)

  • Work with outside hauling vendors to move large equipment unable to move in house

  • Perform deliveries in a safe and productive manner by following current safety and operational practices of the company.

  • Allocate time for deliveries and filling tickets accurately to the appropriate job sites.

  • Load and unload equipment and tools

  • Contribute effectively to mobilization and demobilization of jobs

  • Transfer tools in tool tracking system when physically moved from job to job

    Warehouse Organization

  • Establish and maintain organization of the warehouse and yard areas by following 5S

  • Develop and improve organization concepts of the warehouse and yard

  • Keep storage areas safe following OSHA General Industry Standards 1910

  • Show ownership of the warehouse and yard area by keeping area in professional and organized state

  • Repair warehouse building items as needed

  • Manage additional labor as provided to take care of backlog warehouse projects
