Undergraduate Research Assistant - Ortho Bone Healing LabPosting ID123158DepartmentOrthopaedics and Rehabilitation/Carver College of MedicineJobcodeAc/Sci Res ActWorking TitleUndergraduate Research Assistant - Ortho Bone Healing LabDetailsThe University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation's Bone Healing Lab (located on the Oakdale Research Campus in Coralville) is looking for an undergraduate research assistant to assist with various tasks in is looking for undergraduate research assistants.This position is for up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week in the summer. Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle, Cambus, or other form of transportation) and be available evenings and weekends.Duties for the position include: Assisting with daily laboratory activities, assisting with animal care, record keeping, data entry, and general laboratory cleaning, and assist with other duties as assigned by management in support of the goals of the lab.Required Qualifications include:Previous laboratory experience.Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, organize priorities, and work independently to meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well within a cohesive team.Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public. Ability to learn and perform lab procedures as well as follow oral and written instructions accurately.Desired Qualifications include:Experience with data entry.
