GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Dean of the Iowa City Campus is responsible for the leadership of academic operations of the campus. These responsibilities include supervising faculty, budgeting, programming, planning, and general monitoring of facilities. The curriculum is multi-disciplinary, primarily in the Liberal Arts and Sciences and includes courses in the Applied Sciences. The Dean is responsible for hiring, supervising, and evaluating all full time faculty and support staff. This position provides leadership in academic excellence and community engagement.

Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Be a self-motivated, energetic, and creative individual with proven leadership, planning, and administrative skills.
Possess excellent conceptual and planning skills and be able to relate well with other professional educators within the College and at other institutions.
Possess a working knowledge of educational trends to enable leading the campus to meet the merging educational needs in the community.
Possess strong human relations skills. Get along with diverse personalities and be adept at conflict resolution.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:
Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
Five years successful educational work experience of which a minimum of two years must have been at the post-secondary level.
Must have a minimum of two years teaching experience at the postsecondary level
Demonstrated educational leadership ability
Possess knowledge of trends and issues related to community college education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Previous experience at a community college as faculty and/or administrator.
