Gold-Eagle Cooperative located at 415 N Locust St., Goldfield, IA 50542, (515) 825-9637 is seeking 4 temporary full-time Semi-truck Driver to work at 415 N Locust St., Goldfield, IA 50542, Kossuth, Hancock, Humboldt, and Wright counties from 04/01/2024 to 12/31/2024 to load, transport, unload, export, and process grains, feed, feed ingredients, bulk products, and food grade products in intermodal containers. Pick up empty intermodal containers. Transport products from producer and/or processor to end user, farms, and warehouse facilities. Products will be transported via semi-tractors and combination trailers such as bulk pneumatic tanks, bulk and combination augers, bulk commodities, and dry vans. Special requirements: Must have CDL Class A experience with air brakes and combination endorsements. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. 75 yds. Must be able to handle temperature extremes. Work hours vary according to routes and customer needs, rough window of 5 am to 7 pm. 12 months of experience in Truck/Trailer. Will travel within the area of intended employment. Must be able to handle extreme temperatures. No prior education is required. On the job, training will be provided. $23.51/hr. Approx. 40 hours/week, from Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm. Some weekend work. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised. The wage rate may vary on experience and/or merit. $35.27/hr for overtime. Up to 10 hours of overtime may be available but not guaranteed. All deductions from the workers paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay Weekly by check. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer will provide housing as an option to employees living outside the regular commuting distance. Employees who elect to live in the housing will have an additional $75 deducted Weekly paycheck for rent and utilities. Optional daily transportation will be provided from and to worksite at no cost. In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $15.46/day to a maximum of $59.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
