Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care for patients.
The Same Day Surgery RN Provides professional nursing care for surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. Provides professional care of same-day medical patients.
Education and/or Experience
Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree.
Basic Life Support is required within six months of employment.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
Additional requirements to be obtained within six months of employment per department are as follows:
Med/Surg – Advanced Life Support
Special Care Unit – Advanced Life Support
Emergency Room – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, TNCC
Resource Nurse – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, plus 1-2 years M/S nursing experience.
PALS education is required within one year of employment.
(Oncology Nurses Society Certification for Chemotherapy trained staff).
Previous experience in a health care setting.
Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of Iowa, or Multi-state licensure is required.
Work Schedule
Day/Evening shift; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Every 3rd weekend
Every other holiday
Occasional call time
12-hour shifts
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$29.50 - $44.25 per hour
