MidWestOne Bank Network Administrator in Dubuque, Iowa

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance, security, and administration of the Cisco data and voice communication systems throughout the MidWestOne Bank footprint

  • Assists in implementing and maintaining data and voice communication systems, including:

  • Cisco Routing and Switching

  • Meraki SDWAN

  • Cisco UC VoIP

  • PSTN Connectivity

  • Cisco Firewall and VPN technologies

  • Wireless networking

  • Cisco ISE

  • Monitors the security, reliability and performance of the systems listed above and deals with service issues in a proactive

  • Keeps detailed documentation of network device configurations, communication services and network changes.

  • Assists in managing relationships with communication services vendors.

  • Maintains required documentation for project management and change management and ensures that changes are implemented in accordance with the Bank’s Change Management process and in a way that minimizes end user disruption.

  • Develops policies and procedures for communications systems and ensures that policies are enforced.

  • Maintains an excellent working relationship with Information Services customers and works proactively to fulfill customer

  • Assists Service Desk staff in resolving advanced network and telecom

  • Builds and maintains partnerships with the other team members in the Information Services Department to help ensure that the Department provides the highest level of service and support to the end users within the bank.

  • Able to be self-sufficient with minimal work oversight to complete standard

  • Performs other duties as

Candidates must have a two-year degree in a related field or comparable work experience with a minimum of 4 years of field experience. Candidates for this position should possess a strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and telephony. Strong candidates would possess CCNA or better certification. Prior project management experience preferred. Candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills and be proficient at organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks. Attention to detail is a must. Certain projects or duties may require work on weekends or evenings and/or travel to branch locations.
