Central DeWitt Community School District in DeWitt, Iowa, is seeking a Full-Time High School Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
We are looking for a High School teacher, preferably certified in Language Arts or Math. If you are looking to engage with students in a unique and creative way, this position is for you!
This role will include:
Depending on the certification of the successful candidate, this position will partner with teachers in other content areas to provide dual credit opportunities to students (for example, if the candidate is math certified, they may partner with our Construction Tech teacher to offer a course that integrates competencies and standards from both content areas to provide students with an opportunity to earn both a CTE and a math credit in the same course).
Collaboration with multiple teachers across content levels to design and deliver engaging instruction and assess evidence of student learning in a cross-curricular setting
Utilize effective instructional strategies to engage students in inquiry-based, collaborative, hands-on learning experiences that are differentiated based on needs and interests.
When appropriate, seek business, industry, and community partners with whom to collaborate in order to extend learning experiences beyond the walls of the school (physically and/or virtually).
Follow a varying (flexible) daily schedule to best meet the needs of students
