At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Everything we do for our clients comes down to having the right business and technical knowledge and experience for every occasion. Naturally, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes to make that happen, and our colleagues across the business look to our Talent team to guarantee that everything runs seamlessly. As a Talent Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of that goal, providing comprehensive, people-driven HR services. Talent is at the center of our ongoing strategy. We’re focused on developing the leaders who will support us in building a better working world, and in this role you’ll be at the forefront of influencing the change and transformation of our leaders.

The opportunity

You’ll provide a high level of talent consultation within a specific region, service line or national practice while leading change initiatives around human resources (HR) programs and processes. Whatever you find yourself working on, it all comes down to providing strategic consultation to business leaders that will allow them to drive business results. As a trusted advisor to the business, you’ll be part of the leadership team, translating the business strategy into talent solutions.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for high-quality execution of significant HR processes, including compensation, performance management and career development. You’ll serve as the frontline support to customer groups as well as provide strategic support to functional leadership on people initiatives. Utilizing data analytics, you’ll provide insight on headcount, salaries and budgets and inform on solutions as needed. You may also be responsible for supervising and mentoring other team members.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to influence multiple constituents

  • Handling employee-relations issues for colleagues at all levels

  • Constantly identifying risks and opportunities for improvement to drive change

  • Managing large projects, including restructuring, leadership development and assessment initiatives

  • Translating complex data from a wide range of sources into meaningful insights that build and confirm your reputation as a key business partner

  • A broad knowledge of HR regulations, processes and leading practices

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Seven-plus years of experience

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A master’s degree, supported by Society for Human Resource Management certification

  • Experience working within a professional services industry or complex matrixed environment

Additional information

  • Ability to fill this requisition at the Assistant Director or Supervising Associate rank, based on experience.

What we look for

We’re interested in influencers with a broad and extensive knowledge of HR processes. You’ll need to be comfortable questioning ideas, processes and senior colleagues — all while overseeing multiple projects or employee issues. If you have a genuine passion for talent management and the confidence to take on new responsibilities proactively to stay ahead of demand, this role is for you.

What we offer

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, both pension and 401(k) plans, a minimum of 18 days of paid time off with additional time based on your level and years of service plus 12 observed holidays, and a range of programs and benefits designed to support your physical, financial and social well-being.

  • Continuous learning: You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.

  • Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.

  • Transformative leadership: We’ll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.

  • Diverse and inclusive culture: You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.

If you can confidently demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact us as soon as possible.

The exceptional EY experience. It’s yours to build.
