The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role will be comfortable as our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. This Senior Financial Analyst will be located in Des Moines, Iowa.

What you get to do every single day

• Power existing management reporting by evaluating financial results, distilling and synthesizing issues, and articulating key updates to senior-level staff

• Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

• Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams

• Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives

• Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates

• Cultivate dynamic relationships with Finance/Accounting leadership of key business partners

• Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

• Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business or related field

• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

• Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers

• Solid understanding of expense management

• Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management

• Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

• Highly-skilled in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

• Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

• Efficient with process reengineering and optimization

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
