Principal Software Engineer (Customer Experience) in Des Moines, Iowa
As a Software Engineer in Enterprise Data and Applications (EDA), you’ll join a group of engineers in an Agile Scrum team to work on customer facing applications through channels such as the web, voice, and chat! Here in EDA, we are at the intersection of many strategic and digital initiatives that impact the enterprise! This provides unique opportunities to solve key business problems impacting our customers.
As a software engineer, you will engineer and implement reliable and efficient technical solutions to solve complex business problems. You will perform many functions, but not limited to eliciting requirements, writing automated tests, developing and integrating software for new vendor based or in-house systems, and providing operational support.

Engineer for speed and quality through CI/CD pipelines that test and deploy software
Collaborate with highly skilled and motivated product-focused individuals
Work directly with stakeholders to optimize existing solutions or design new ones to deliver business outcomes
Experiment with new technologies and practices to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Elicit requirements, write automated tests
We’re looking for someone with:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a computer science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience
3+ years of engineering experience in modern technologies
Cloud experience (preferably AWS, Genesys, Google DialogFlow)
Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required.
Preferred technical skills:
Understanding and familiarity with common software development patterns and best practices
Experience with Cloud solutions and DevOps practices (TDD, CI, CD, etc.)
Java development background
Willing to consider remote candidates.
