Job TitleReceptionist - Des MoinesJob DescriptionJob Summary | Major goals and objectives.Responsible for receptionist duties at Des Moines facility (Locust South and Locust North) and appropriately handling company incoming switchboard calls.Essential Job Functions30%- Answer incoming telephone calls made to Meredith's main telephone number. Determine the nature of the call and appropriate person/department the call is to be forwarded to. Provides direct inward dial numbers to the extent possible. Train back-up coverage personnel and update switchboard procedures as needed.40%- Interact and assist visitors, customers, and clients for on campus events. Meredith office/location and logging them out of the building. Interact with Meredith employees, freelancers, and contractor cardholders to ensure compliance with corporate reception/security guidelines, i.e. verifying ID/proxy cards and/or issuing temporary badges. Coordinating back-up reception coverage as needed.20%- Assist with Real Estate App dispatching, campus tours for new employees as scheduled and support department with any workflow processes. Other duties as assigned including Bus Passes and Meredith Guest Wireless.10%- Support security by monitoring cameras, create employee access cards, and entry door accessMinimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.Education:High School graduate or equivalent work experience.Experience:Minimum of 2 years receptionist experience, including face-to-face customer relations experience. Minimum one year switchboard operations.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Meredith Corporation culture helpful. Knowledge of switchboard operations. MS Word, Excel and Outlook desired. Must be customer-service oriented with the ability to learn and memorize names and faces. Excellent communication and organizational skills necessary. Must be detail oriented. Ability to set priorities.
