Shift: Weekend Package

What you will do:

Performs MRI procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency call back, operates MR equipment.

· Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

· Assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for the MRI Department during their respective shift.

· Develops and implements department objectives in collaboration with managers and staff.

· Monitors performance of staff; helps managers with counseling as needed, helps managers conduct performance appraisals; promotes staff development.

Requirements:

Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.

· ARRT RT(R)(MR) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance

· MRSO (MRSCTM) Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) certification with the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety preferred, required within 12 months of hire

· Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice

· Participates in professional society (i.e., ASRT, ISRT, SCMR, etc)

· Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire.

· Annually applies for and maintains Level III MRI Technologist status
