The purpose of this position is to support the Lumen ERP system (SAP platform), including cloud applications, portal applications and interfacing systems pertaining to the Procure to Pay and Ariba processes in place. The ideal candidate will support system enhancements, integrations and related configuration and have an overall Ariba and general procurement knowledge/background.
The Main Responsibilities
Lead or support the planning, design and implementation of business process changes within assigned areas of responsibility, with knowledge of Ariba suite of products, CIG and integration touchpoints. Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the application functionality required to support the interfaces and applicable tools.
Lead periodic review and assessment of current business processes versus the required functionality, and initiate proposals to modify or replace processes as necessary. Participate in periodic evaluation of the current applications portfolio versus the required functionality, and initiate proposals to modify or replace applications as necessary.
Develop functional requirements to support the business team’s initiatives, through coordinating meetings/discussions with impacted parties and the development teams.
Organize effective task and steering teams to address complex and cross-functional project requirements, issues and objectives.
Lead and complete testing initiatives related to yearly hotpack, Quarterly ariba service packs
What We Look For in a Candidate
Strong understanding of SAP and Ariba best practices as well as extensive business process improvement experience. Excellent presentation & communication skills and exceptional ability to perform individually and in a team. Must be able to make technical/functional recommendations and proactively communicate in business discussions with all levels of system & business personnel. Experience with working directly with users at all different levels to help guide complex projects and develop solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Technology or related field or the equivalent in training and experience
Minimum five years of experience in an area of business administration, finance, accounting or position performing similar duties and responsibilities or the equivalent in training and experience
Master’s degree preferred
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions
Excellent and effective communication (oral and written) skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
Ability to travel occasionally
10 years SAP experience relating to MM/P2P functions, including master data, transactional data, interfaces and reporting.
Ariba implementation-a minimum of one, preferably two full suite implementations completed.
Previous S/4 implementation experience is a plus
Consulting background is a plus
Experience with system and process modeling and design tools
Strong relationship, interpersonal, communication and business process skills
Demonstrated planning and coordination skills with development initiatives
Proven ability to achieve success without direct organizational authority functional lines
