Robert Half is currently seeking a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support a local Des Moines company. As a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our seasonal staffing operations. The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the HR department. This Human Resources (HR) Coordinator role involves assisting with various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance. this role is located in Des Moines, IA and requires working onsite Monday-Friday. This role is available as a long-term contract / temporary position.

Human Resources (HR) Coordinator duties include:

  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify staffing needs and create job postings.

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for seasonal positions.

  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings as required.

  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and onboarding sessions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for temporary employees, addressing their inquiries and concerns.

  • Assist in payroll processing and timekeeping for seasonal workers.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with client managers to understand their staffing requirements and provide timely solutions.

  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance during the seasonal period.

  • Assist in offboarding processes at the end of the season.

Requirements

  • Previous HR experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
