ENTRY/ EXPERIENCED UNDER GROUND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS

Des Moines + Ankeny + Ames, Iowa | Pay: $20-$30

Job Description

We are seeking entry level and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in the underground electrical and cabling construction trade. This role involves burying and installing various electrical equipment and cabling in the Des Moines metro area. Your responsibilities will include operating heavy machinery, coordinating daily tasks according to plans and priorities, and emphasizing safe use of machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for delegating individual tasks to crew members and contractors.

Hard Skills

  • Underground electrical experience

  • Equipment operation

  • Knowledge of wet utilities including sewer, water, storm drain, and irrigation

  • Ability to climb in and out of trenches, manholes, and other confined work areas

  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and uneven terrain

  • Experience in the landscaping and dirt works industry
