ARAG North America Digital Marketing Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa

Are you an implementer who loves to tell a story through data and analyzed results? ARAG is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist! The role offers guidance and education in email marketing and digital opportunities while introducing tactics to effectively communicate across multiple digital channels. This individual must enjoy the challenge of getting their hands dirty to dissect the best approach and get excited by analysis of campaigns. Collaborative spirit and flexibility to pivot based on results are critical to success in this role.

  • Collaborates with Digital Marketing Manager to lead the efforts behind ARAG email marketing campaigns and implementation.

  • Collaborate with marketing consultants to develop, execute and maintain email marketing campaigns for all audiences.

  • Prepare responsive HTML email templates.

  • Experience building, testing and executing end to end Marketing Automation campaigns and flows including Analytics.

  • Develop operational and performance reporting to inform stakeholders, generate insights, and recommend optimizations.

  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM Act and regulations related to online privacy.

  • Form building activities to configure and setup enriched forms to capture lead data used during B2B communications.

  • Manage and execute A/B and multivariate testing strategies.

  • Identify opportunities to implement advanced CRM and email marketing techniques, including dynamic content, personalization, and progressive profiling.

  • Oversight of the organization’s Pardot software and collaboration with Salesforce team to ensure seamless synchronization of business priorities.

  • Partner with Salesforce administrator to monitor platform integrations, ensure data cleanliness, and implement campaigns.

  • Act as subject matter expert on marketing automation best practices, including contact database management, audience segmentation and targeting, campaign journey flow, etc.

  • Provide web content management support.

  • Coordinate and perform website content changes.

  • Configuring landing pages with personalization and dynamic content to be used for various marketing purposes.

  • Assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and keyword identification including webpage tags and metadata.

  • Collaborate with the Technology Innovation Group (TIG) on content updates based on new code releases and component introductions through the CMS.

  • Provide support in creating and analyzing digital advertising campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Ads.

  • Ensure all digital marketing assets integrates with overarching brand strategies.

  • Serve as a positive role model of ARAG at its Best and Leadership at its Best.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Experience managing concurrent digital marketing projects.

  • Experience with email marketing methodology and tactics. CRM experience required. Pardot and Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Content Management System (CMS) experience required.

  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization required.

  • Knowledge of social media marketing tactics and social media platforms is required.

  • Knowledge of marketing automation.

  • Knowledge of user accessibility guidelines.

  • Knowledge of design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) and HTML tools (Dreamweaver) preferred.


  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to articulate technical terms in a way that creates understanding among all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand data sources, data mapping, campaign logic, and campaign performance.

  • Willingness to learn and work with new and existing technologies.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues at both an optimal and functional level and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Experience with dynamic campaign management.

  • Experience mapping data between systems.

  • Ability to stay informed on system enhancements and incorporate into ARAG operations.

  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking.

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to effectively and efficiently manage projects and workload.

  • Ability to effectively partner with associates from a variety of departments.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to proactively take initiative to accomplish tasks with little supervision.

Education: Four-year degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, public relations or related field.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in digital marketing including hands-on experience with email marketing and website content management systems (CMS).

Certifications, Licenses, Associations, etc.: Pardot certification highly preferred.
