Looking to intern on our Member Experience Team (MET) in our Technology division? MET is a team of dedicated and matrixed resources focused on improving our member engagement through the research, design and delivery of an enhanced member experience.
What projects might I support? Although subject to change, examples of projects you will be contributing to include:
Assist with the assessment of field activities, such as material preparation, interviewing members and data collection
Analyze quantitative and qualitative research data and contribute to the reporting and interpretation of findings
Develop surveys and research tools to support project activities

This internship will start in May of 2021 and be onsite in Des Moines, Iowa or potentially virtually pending Wellmark's return to office strategy. Our focus will be on ensuring the best possible experience given the circumstances at the time; however, you should plan to be located in the Des Moines area for the summer of 2021.
Current junior, senior or graduate student studying Business, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology or related program
Experience with and/or knowledge of researching, data collection and analysis methodologies and techniques, such as survey design, analysis of program administrative data, and ability to conduct structured interviews and observe
Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical/data analysis, and quantitative skills, including the ability to understand, interpret, and forecast relevant data.
Ability to set and meet established timeframes while assuring data and information integrity
Experience prioritizing and managing time with little direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with the members (customers) and the business areas
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
