VCA Avondale has something for every career path! We perform ultrasounds, surgeries, and advanced dentistry in addition to excellent preventive medicine. We even have a Rehabilitation and Laser Therapy Center! If you are a fan of the felines, we have a separate cat only hospital section where our feline friends can get the best of care in a calm, quiet environment. We also have a great boarding facility that includes deluxe vacation suites and offers Doggie Day Care and Grooming. If there is an area you want to grow in, we are here for you!

Our hospital has been serving the Des Moines community for over 45 years. We are AHAA accredited and believe in providing the best possible care to our patients. We are a Gold Standard Feline Friendly practice and are seeking accreditation as a Fear Free practice as well.
