RIS Finance is actively recruiting an Associate Accountant who can handle a broad array of job responsibilities, work effectively with multiple teams and possesses strong technical skills. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the maintenance, preparation and analysis of financial information. In addition to the responsibilities above, there will be various adhoc work that will come your way. These could include questions/research requests from your business partners and/or project work.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Prefer candidates with an accounting or finance-related degree
Also requires strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Requires confidence as well as the ability to clearly communicate ideas and thoughts to others.
Must have good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
Demonstrates the ability to accept and adapt to a changing environment.
Strongly prefer candidates with technical skills using Excel and SQL/Access. Essbase and expense allocation knowledge are also preferred.
Able to work independently and take initiative/ownership of tasks.
Meeting deadlines as well as balancing multiple priorities and tasks will be key in this role.
Strong excel capabilities (building macros, V look ups, pivot tables, etc.)
Access and/or SQL knowledge
Industry knowledge (retirement)
Expense and/or forecasting knowledge
