Job Summary

Acts independently under general direction. Directs the activities and operations of all personnel within the Application Support group. Manages the day-to-day application support and maintenance activities consistent with client needs, company objectives, and technological resources. May act as project lead for a major project or several smaller projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assigns personnel to projects and directs their activities.

  • Provides input for decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.).

  • Directs the interface of software systems with the hardware configuration and the applications systems, as well as for the customizing of purchased applications.

  • Provides input to policy level direction regarding standards and budget constraints.

  • Provides technical guidance to the information systems staff and maintains their technical proficiency.

  • Coordinates activities with other groups/vendors, and business development.

  • Prepares activity and progress reports for all application software support and maintenance activities.

  • Maintains service level agreements and provides a point of contact for reporting problems.

  • Participates in the performance evaluation process and career planning for subordinates.

  • Works with Sales and Project Management in identifying task and schedule requirements.

  • Performs specific aspects of assigned projects.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldor equivalent work experience

Experience:8+ years related experience

Minimum Qualifications
