Robert Half International Accounts Receivable (A/R) Professional in Des Moines, Iowa

Description

Accountemps is seeking an experienced, organized Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented. Responsibilities of this position include: posting cash, filing invoices, mailing invoices, answering customer inquiries, backing up receptionist. You will be responsible for processing full-cycle AR, handling a high volume of invoices per week, with high attention to detail. How you will make an impact:

  1. Process daily invoices (Mail/Email customer copies, file our copies)

  2. Post cash/check/credit card receipts to accounts receivable system

  3. Make routine collection calls on past due accounts

  4. Call on credit references for new customers

  5. Respond to customer questions regarding payments, invoices, and account balances

  6. Monitor cash customer accounts and report any problems to Accounting Coordinator

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability work independently

  • Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

  • Proven knowledge of cash posting, collections, and coding invoices

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required
