Our Corporate Headquarters is located in Cannon Falls, MN with 18 plants across the US. We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Foundry Worker to join our production team in Decorah, IA. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm OR 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM with overtime as needed. Pay Rate: $16.92 - $23.49. 7% shift premium for 2nd shift positions. Purpose StatementTo learn and demonstrate proficiency in all extrusion related positions including profile extrusion operator and sheet extrusion set up operator. Operators will be expected to cross-train and flex between positions based on business need and must be willing to adjust work schedule to 12-hour shifts to maintain operating efficiencies and meet customer demand.Essential FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Profile Extruder OperatorReview work orders and schedules to determine required tooling and material.Clean and inspect tooling and equipment.Set up and operate profile extrusion line.Perform material handling duties of raw material and finished goods.Measure, test, and document findings of finished products.Adjust extruder, tooling and equipment to ensure product quality.Maintain accurate records of production and inventory, and complete appropriate transactions.Responsible for processing and shipping all orders.Extrusion Set Up OperatorSets up and operates sheet extruder equipment.Adjusts and calibrates the blender to ensure proper blend of materials.Changes dies, screws, rolls and dialups on the extruder.Sets up and operates extruding equipment, manufacturing extruded plastic sheets, as required.Brings granulated material to the dryer hopper and feeds the hopper in an efficient manner.Ensures a steady supply of plastic is delivered from the dryer hopper to the extruder hopper by monitoring the flow of plastic as required.Takes instrument readings on extruder and adjusts as required.Takes stacked sheets from the end of the extruder and heat seals the stack in a plastic shrink wrap.
