Humana Senior Product Owner - Collaboration Technology(remote virtual home office) in Davenport, Iowa

We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead agile product teams to help ensure we provide the Humana workforce with technology solutions that enable optimized team collaboration and productivity.

The Senior Product Owner of Collaboration and Productivity Solutions is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The functional scope of responsibility will include a subset of collaboration and/or productivity-based technology solutions to include, for example - conferencing, workstream and document collaboration, O365, whiteboarding, and live events technology.


The Senior Product Owner of Collaboration and Productivity Solutions maximizes value of product created by an Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree

  • 5+ years technology experience

  • 2+ years experience product owner experience, including team backlog ownership

  • 2+ years experience working in an agile (e.g. SAFe) environment and leading decentralized teams

  • Working knowledge of collaboration and productivity technology solutions that may include Office/O365, MS Teams, conferencing solutions e.g. Zoom and WebEx

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the technology-driven experiences of our Humana workforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Product Owner Certification e.g. SAFeĀ® 5 POPM or similar

  • Working knowledge of human-centered design and discovery techniques
